I’m really excited to let everyone know about Ashley Mendel’s new release “Auto Reverse or Rewind”. To give you some back story, Ashley is one of my dearest friends and also the bass player for my solo group when I tour. He and I share a lot of similarities in the way we make music. Originally a drummer, like myself, he picked up guitar and bass and began down the path of creating music as his own self-contained band, learning to produce and engineer records along the way. He recorded his record at my place in Cali and really created something honest and beautiful all by himself. He is one of the single biggest influences on my songwriting and how I approach harmony and chordal movement.
