Last night was dope. I must admit I never expected to be greeted so warmly by so many people. The show was a blast. The b-stage at Cain's reminds me of the Gypsy Tea Room in Dallas quite a bit. I think Ashley and I spent more time talking on stage than actually playing songs. I'd like to take this moment to thank United Airlines for losing DJ Kilmore's luggage. Poor guy had to go out and buy new needles 30 minutes before his set. Fortunately, his bags showed up 15 minutes before we got in the van for Kansas City. Sekou left his wallet in the hotel and had to go out and catch his dinner the 'old fashioned' way. I'd show more photos but I don't want PETA activists throwing cans of paint on my laptop. HERE WE COME KANSAS CITY! Hide your women and children.

Right now I'm in a hotel in Albequerque, New Mexico. No show tonight. We're on our way to Tulsa for a show Thursday. This weekend was cool and we're amped to get into full swing this weekend. These next few shows are a pretty big deal for me. I've done solo shows on the west coast before. And the east coast is where I grew up playing in bands. But now we're taking it across the heartland and it feels like a debut for me.

So, we did it. And I have to tell you I've enjoyed every minute of it. We saw a lot of familiar faces and met a few new ones. DJ Kilmore and I are grateful for the opportunity to go out and play our songs for all of you. There are a lot of people who worked hard on this tour and it never would have happened without them. To our management and our crew: thank you for kicking so much ass. Most of all we want to thank everyone who came out and made this tour a beautiful experience. You're the reason we do this. Hopefully we'll see you all again very soon.
Thank you,
-Ben Kenney

Right now we're rolling down Interstate 90 through Wisconsin. Today was a much needed day off after a raging night in Chicago. Admittedly, my memory has a few holes in it but I apologize if I texted anyone late last night rambling about Flash Taco. It was a fleeting desire that was never fully realized. Props to the barista at the coffee shop in Tulsa for the most metal mocha latte in history. Nubs up for Family Guy pinball in KC. Parking lot frisbee? Dangerous but sweet. Sekou found his own way around town. I'm getting hypnotized by the lines in the road. More news at eleven.....

These things seem to end as soon as they start. Tonight will be our second to last show on this run and I feel like things were just getting started. We've been having a blast on stage, wait, make that a few blasts. We've met some more people from the Ghetto Crush boards. It's good to put faces to the names. And,to the shagrin of common sense worldwide, we ate at Perkins twice in a 24hr period. Nobody said this life would be easy. Sekou and Greg tried to temp me and failed. Greg then decided to kill an elderly Asian lady minding her own buisness. You know, all in a days work.
Two more shows and then I can drown in my own tears in the privacy of my own home. And hopefully get to do it all over again.
